Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She spent the majority of her youth listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs, as well old classical pieces. Ana loves the operas and tangos as well as all dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties and performs the traditional Latin American Music. As an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for music and art keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
